My doctor told me that coffee leeches calcium from my bones. I stopped my coffee consumption immediately as I have osteopenia. I realized that I'm looking for is creamy, sweet treat, if I'm honest, more than actual coffee so I have to get creative and come up with a healthy substitute. I looked online to get an idea of what was out there as an alternative. I know that mushrooms are good for me and can provide a morning boost. Everything I saw online had a lot of added products that I already have in my cupboard: cacao, cinnamon, ginger, stevia (the only sweetener I use). Yes, it is nice to just stir it in if you want to pay for it, but so many unnecessary ingredients. I'm going to put together my own little mixture. I contacted Southern Belle for advice as I had met the proprietor at a Farmer's Market and she seemed quite knowledgeable. I love to support local, female/minority owned small businesses. She knew just what I needed. The taste takes some time to get used to and I tweak it with some additional products. I plan to order regularly and make it my daily boost.
Pleasantly surprised by how well it works and tastes as a tea. Incorporated it into my everyday and I can say I feel the benefits and maybe see them too. Highly recommend!
